… a writer, editor, and French-English language translator based in Brooklyn, and host/organizer of Another Way to Say reading series in translation.
Portrait by Anthony Ithurralde
My editorial interests include building digital platforms that encourage exploration and interaction with dense text, comparative analysis of source and target text for translation projects, and developmental editing for academic/longform writing.
In both writing and translation, I am drawn to projects of hybrid forms: poem-essay, prosaic-journalism, ponderous-critique, as well as articles that explore a writer/translator’s process. I write about eco-poetics, American puritanism, women in the arts, and (re)visions of the future.
My translations of Gabriel Marcoux-Chabot and Loïc Herry have been featured at Le Festival des Cinq Continents and La Maison Française NYU respectively; I am currently translating Joséphine by Jean Rolin and Ivre Décor by Maria Kakogianni.
…I also host the reading series Another Way to Say, which features works in translation. You can peruse past and upcoming events here.
